I agree a hundred percent with the premise of re-evaluating yourself after this Great Pause.

I’ve thought about the matter a bit myself, pre-corona times, and I came to the shocking realization that you’re never actually yourself. You’ve never been given the chance to totally be 100% yourself. Your actions, thoughts and behaviors are all heavily influenced by the social conditioning you grew up with and surround yourself with.

Think about it: Your life is a series of “patches” that compromise your day-to-day. Each patch was placed at a certain time in your life, greatly influenced by the past (your personal past) and your present (people and narratives around you). We’re all not much different than what we were a couple of years ago.

How different of a life would you lead right now if, say, you packed your bags, deleted all online accounts and travelled to another continent? A sort of life jubilee, starting from absolute scratch with all the wisdom and knowledge you’ve accumulated throughout your life.

I believe it would be substantially different for the majority of people. :)
These are exciting times — the average person finally has a strong enough catalyst for change. Embrace it, because this may be the only chance you have.
